Space Invaders Camp!

Ages 6-8 and Ages 8-11

Launch your child’s fascination for robotics and coding in the coolest camp in the galaxy!

In this powerhouse educational camp, students ages 6 to 11 will boost STEAM skills while engineering and programming alien robotic friends.

FIRST HALF: CODING

Campers advance through our vertical coding curriculum featuring 10+ distinct lessons as they launch our electrifying Mini Sphero and Ozobot robots on exciting space missions in the field.

SECOND HALF: BUILDING

In the second part of the day, students boost engineering skills as they hand-build robots. Your child will walk away knowing fundamentals of electricity and robotics, as well as more complex concepts such as mechanisms and sensors.

Camp culminates with our signature Space Invaders Battle and live student showcase.

Included:

  • Take-Home Robot

  • Study Packet

A bonus take-home robot and study packet offer summer extension ideas to enjoy long after camp has ended.

Don’t wait to register your child for our popular half and full-day camps to lay a foundation for lifelong excitement for technology and robotics.

mBot Coding Workshop #2

Ages 8-12

mBot Coding Workshop #1 NOT Required

In this powerhouse summer session, students build their own mBot robot and learn to program it from their device. Coding has become a new modern-day language to express ideas, inspiring children’s originality, while helping develop logical thinking.

Blast into a different learning dimension in mBot Camp #2 (mBot #1 not required). Your aspiring programmer will reinforce fundamentals, while widening the complexity of the concepts and tools available to them through exciting topics distinctive from mBot Camp 1 such as:

□    Variables
□    Efficiency/Clean Code
□    Loops and Repeat Blocks
□    Randomizing Variables
□    Logic
□    If/Then/Else
□    Debugging
□    Self-Created Programs/Presenting

MBOT
The renowned Makeblock mBot is ideal for teaching programming to elementary students, while allowing the hands-on interface building the robot. At its core is an easy-to-use mainboard Arduino, which integrates various modules and sensors to learn the inner workings of electronics.

Unlike coding courses with heavy screen time, Robot City students will spend much time building and testing their robot in the field. This allows infinite possibilities for your child to bring together STEAM concepts in a way only they can dream and design.

GRAPHICAL PROGRAMMING
The mBlock programming software modeled after Scratch 2.0 is made up of colorful and modularized drag-and-drop graphical blocks. Elementary children can now feel accomplished when they are able to easily program the mBot without writing difficult codes and language.
